Alongside the star power and competition of the Grillin’ McMillian Celebrity Golf Tournament, we’re introducing something unforgettable.

The Next Generation Takes the Grill

The Grillin’ Jr. BBQ Showdown brings kids ages 12 and under onto the course for their own live cooking competition, right in the middle of the action.

Future pitmasters will fire up the grill, create their signature dishes, and present them to celebrity judges, including NFL legends led by Mark McMillian.

Registration Instructions

Please complete this form in full. A parent or legal guardian must submit the registration on behalf of each child participant. Each child must have a separate registration form completed.

Space is limited, and entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is not complete until all required information has been submitted and confirmation has been received.

What to Bring

Each participant should bring their own ingredients, seasonings, toppings, and any special items they would like to use in their dish. Participants must also bring a small personal BBQ grill (charcoal or propane) for use during the competition.

For safety and timing purposes, food should be partially pre-cooked prior to arrival and then finished or heated on-site during the event.

Basic cooking utensils such as tongs or a spatula are recommended. Aprons, chef hats, and fun team spirit are encouraged.

Parents should make sure all food items are packed safely and kept at the proper temperature before arrival. If your child plans to create a special recipe, please bring all needed ingredients and garnishes with you.

Event Preparation

Cooking stations will be set up on-site. THAT Event Company will be provided a table and chairs for their setup. Participants are required to bring their own small BBQ grill (charcoal or propane) and any necessary fuel.

Event staff will coordinate designated grilling areas and help manage the overall flow of the competition. Parents or guardians must remain on-site for the duration of the event.

For younger participants, parent assistance may be allowed where needed, but the event is designed to highlight the child’s creativity, participation, and enthusiasm.

Parent / Guardian Acknowledgment

By submitting this registration, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child listed on this form. I understand that this is a live outdoor cooking event taking place on the grounds of a golf course and that participation includes the use of grills, cooking tools, and food preparation items under supervision.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for remaining on-site during the event and for supervising my child as required by event staff. I understand that event organizers reserve the right to remove any participant who is not following safety instructions or event rules.

I give permission for my child to participate in the Grillin’ Jr. BBQ Showdown and understand that photos and video may be taken during the event for promotional and marketing purposes related to the Grillin’ McMillian Celebrity Golf & BBQ Competition and associated programs.

Safety Reminder

Safety is a top priority. All participants and parents must follow staff instructions at all times. No roughhousing, unsafe handling of cooking tools, or unsupervised activity near grills will be allowed.

Waiver, Release & Cancellation Policy

By registering for, sponsoring, participating in, or attending the Grillin’ McMillian Celebrity Golf Tournament (“Event”), scheduled for May 30, 2026 at Sedona Golf Resort, the undersigned (“Participant”) acknowledges and agrees to the following terms and conditions:

Assumption of Risk

Participant understands that participation in a golf tournament and related activities—including but not limited to golf play, food and beverage consumption, outdoor activities, contests, celebrity interactions, and travel to and from the Event—involves inherent risks. Participant voluntarily assumes all risks of injury, illness, loss, or damage that may occur before, during, or after the Event.

Release of Liability

Participant hereby releases, waives, and discharges THAT Event Company, Event organizers, sponsors, partners, volunteers, affiliates, Sedona Golf Resort, LIFT UP Program™, Camp 29, and all associated parties from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in the Event, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

Non-Refundable Policy

All registrations, sponsorships, vendor fees, pitmaster fees, golfer fees, and related payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.

No refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Personal scheduling conflicts
• Illness or injury
• Travel delays or cancellations
• Weather conditions
• Dissatisfaction with event programming

Event Cancellation / Force Majeure

In the event the tournament, competition, or any portion of the Event is postponed, modified, or canceled due to acts of God, force majeure, or circumstances beyond the control of the Event organizers—including but not limited to weather events, natural disasters, fire, flood, wind, extreme heat, government restrictions, public health concerns, labor disputes, venue issues, or acts of terrorism—no refunds will be issued.

If feasible, Event organizers may, at their sole discretion, apply registrations or sponsorships to a future event or provide alternative recognition; however, this is not guaranteed and does not constitute a refund.

No Guarantee of Competition Outcomes

Participant acknowledges that all contests, competitions, celebrity appearances, schedules, and activities are subject to change without notice. No guarantees are made regarding prize distribution, celebrity participation, judging outcomes, or competition results.

Media Release

Participant grants permission for Event organizers to use photographs, video, and audio recordings taken during the Event for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes without compensation.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona.

Acknowledgment & Acceptance

By registering for or participating in the Grillin’ McMillian Celebrity Golf Tournament, Participant confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms outlined above.
