Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can help you find your seat, meet your tablemates, and get settled before the games begin.

During our time together, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to connect, learn, and laugh. Whether you’re brand new to Mahjong or have been playing for years, there’s always something new to discover. We play American Mahjong in a welcoming, supportive atmosphere where friendships grow, and fun comes first.

This gathering is designed for all levels — from beginners to experienced players. Please take a look below and see which level best describes you, then simply join us when you can.

Good to Know
Registering once places you in the group. If you’re able to attend, wonderful — and if not, we understand entirely. There’s no pressure, just community and good company.

Come for the tiles, stay for the connections.
This event is free and open to everyone.

What Level

Beginner, Brand new to Mahjong Still learning tile names, suits, and basic rules Needs guidance to play
Novice Understands how the game works and can follow along Still needs reminders about strategies, scoring, or special hands Plays slowly but with enthusiasm
Intermediate Comfortable with rules and gameplay Knows basic strategies and common winning hands Can play without much help, but may still ask questions occasionally
Advanced Plays smoothly and confidently Understands strategy, defense, and hand-building techniques Familiar with scoring and timing of play
Expert/Master Highly experienced; may have played in clubs or tournaments Strong grasp of advanced strategies, defense, and scoring variations Can teach or mentor others

Furthermore, if you have a Mahjong set, please bring it with you. However, if not, don’t worry — we’ll have extras available. That way, everyone can play and no one misses out on the fun.

Most importantly, this gathering is about more than tiles — it’s about friendship, community, and shared joy. We can’t wait to see you all every Monday for an afternoon filled with laughter, learning, and connection.
